Max is nuts for baseball. Not just any baseball – the Dodgers. If you’ve been following sports recently, you’ll know it’s a challenging time for fans like Max. Why is baseball relevant in this blog post? Well, naturally Max has a Dodgers Themed Bar Mitzvah, of course!
We started photography with portraits at Adat Ari El Synagogue in North Hollywood. It’s a beautiful campus and it’s always fun to photograph here. Incidentally, it’s also where I went to preshool. Small world, right?

I love photographing Bat Mitzvahs, and Nicole’s was no exception. We started with family portraits at the house and then moved to Temple Kehillat Israel in Pacific Palisades, California. It’s a great synagogue to do photography – bright and airy with a unique contemporary look.

Danielle, or Dani, as everyone called her, had her Bat Mitzvah service at Valley Beth Shalom, in Encino, California. After her torah was chanted and aliyah performed, it was off to The Regency Club in West Los Angeles. Cindy Hassel or SRO Events handled decor, while Billy from H2H Entertainment kept the guests partying all night long. Also, Steve from Vidicam Productions made an awesome montage that was the talk of the party. Mazel Tov Dani!

Spencer had his Bar Mitzvah service at Wilshire Boulevard Temple, at the East Campus in Los Angeles, California. It’s a really neat building, constructed in 1929 and presently in the middle of a massive structural renovation. Spencer did a great job performing his torah portion and before long we were off to the Jonathan Beach Club in Santa Monica for a casual party under the stars.

With blonde locks and a hip personality, there is no question that Blake fits in well in his hometown of Malibu, California. Blake’s Bar Mitzvah was held at the Malibu Jewish Center in their modern glass / wood and steel synagogue. Later we caravanned down Pacific Coast Highway to the Bel Air Bay Club for a wild party thrown by Carol Matteson of King Dahl Event Design. Blake made his grand entrance to the Rocky theme song – very fitting since the party was a sports theme, highlighting Blake’s diverse interests. Mazel Tov Blake!
